Biography

Mallory Mitchell is a State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Mallory’s clinical experience includes inpatient, outpatient and private practice work with individuals, couples and families in both private and public settings.  Now working solely in Private Practice, Mallory specializes in supporting adult individuals and couples with a focus on trauma and perinatal mental health. Her unique experience with various populations has significantly influenced her approach, enabling her to create a comforting and therapeutic environment for clients as they navigate life’s complexities. Mallory’s therapeutic approach emphasizes increasing mindfulness of current situations and emotional experiences to help her clients meet their goals and create more meaningful interactions. She is trained and certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence based treatment for supporting individuals process and resolve traumatic experiences.

Mallory’s journey into perinatal mental health began during the pandemic when she became a mother herself, recognizing the profound need for specialized care and support for new moms. Drawing from her own experiences, she is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing space for individuals transitioning into parenthood, addressing challenges such as postpartum depression and anxiety with empathy and understanding. Mallory is committed to advocating for maternal mental health and empowering women to prioritize their well-being during this transformative phase of life. With Mallory’s expertise and compassionate guidance, clients can embark on a journey of healing, growth, and empowerment.
